What is your definition of Health?

There are many different aspects that we consider Health.

Our general definition of health we took from Coaching Master Tony Robbins.

"Health is not only the absence of disease, but it is the abundance of energy."

We're used to being so run down in our day to day lives, it usually takes a major health crisis or disease for us to wake up to the way we live. But being exhausted all of the time is more than enough for those seeking fulfillment out of life. It's absolutely amazing to me the amount of energy I have when I am training for a triathlon event, vs when I am not.

The National Wellness Institute has 6 dimensions of Wellness and we believe they're important enough to share here

-Emotional -Occupational -Physical -Social -Intellectual -Spiritual

Emotional wellness

Inspires a sense of inner calm, relaxation, and inner strength. Emotional wellness practices remind us to stay positive, smile, be mindful, learn from mistakes, ask for help from others, and remember that life is full of peaks and valleys. Both positive and negative emotions affect how we respond and adapt to our surroundings. This is especially true in relation to eating habits and maintaining a healthy relationship with food.

Occupational Wellness

Encourages us to carefully consider our career and employment opportunities throughout our lifetime. Personal satisfaction and senses of purpose and value are factors that lead to a high level of occupational wellness. And while "work is just work" for a large segment of the population, enhancing occupational wellness does not necessarily require monetary compensation. Taking time to explore volunteer opportunities that allow people to focus on tasks and skills they enjoy will lead to a greater sense of fulfillment and increase to overall occupational wellness.

Physical Wellness

Encompasses a sense of respect and responsibility for taking care of our bodies, promoting a desired sense of optimal health and physical functioning across the lifespan. Overall physical wellness encourages the balance of physical activity, exercise, rest and relaxation, nutrition, mental health, and well-being. Maintaining an optimal level of physical wellness directly leads to better health.

Social Wellness

Refers to our ability to form and maintain relationships with others. Isolation can lead to negative emotions, whereas a robust social network helps develop a positive outlook on life, especially when life is challenging. Learning to build healthy, nurturing, and supportive relationships with others leads to a high degree of social wellness. Improving social wellness is one of the best ways to also improve emotional wellness.

Intellectual Wellness

Encourages people to never stop learning and engaging in creative and mentally stimulating activities across the lifespan. It means participating in activities that expand knowledge and skills across academic, cultural, community, and personal pursuits. Intellectual wellness fosters a greater sense of fulfillment and helps improve both emotional and occupational wellness for a more balanced life.

Spiritual Wellness

Is often one of the least understood wellness components. Most people immediately equate it with religion; however, aligning to a specific religious practice is only one means of finding an improved sense of spiritual wellness. Being spiritual simply means having personal faith in something deepens feelings of belonging and peace with oneself and the world. A person's spiritual wellness can be defined in terms of religious faith, personal values, ethical/moral beliefs, or simply a general acceptance of an underlying mind-body-spirit connection. At its core, it helps create a greater sense of meaning and purpose in life and enhances all other dimensions of wellness.

What is your definition of Endurance?

Endurance- The ability to exert oneself and persist. To withstand, recover from, and resist hardship, adversity, or trauma.  To continue.

“The strongest force in the human personality is the consistency for how we define ourselves” - Tony Robbins

You are here because you have endured life thus far. Your ability to thrive is based on your identity to continue.  On the other side of all that you have been through, all that you have learned is deeper roots, better decision, growth, and vitality.

What is a Progression?

Here at Health Through Endurance, we focus on Progress, not perfection in all that we do and teach. Learning is a constant progression, and progress takes time, repetition, remembering, and accountability.  "Progression" is our fancy name for "Course"

How does the Progression work?

Mind Over Matter is the first Progression, and is the required prerequisite for any one-on-one coaching, training, and other future Progressions that are released

Why is community important?

Chances are the people closest to us and our families have a very static image of who we are. But as people, we are constantly being pushed to grow and expand and change. Along this journey of life, we need community to help keep us accountable, and to keep showing us new things. We can learn from each other, collaborate, set goals, ask each other for help or honest feedback.

But we're also here to celebrate one another. I know in my life, total strangers have been my biggest fans. So when we find people with the same values as us, we hold onto them.

Is this a support group?

To an extent, yes. While I think everyone should have their own therapist to help gain real emotional tools that those closest to us may not have, It's also important that we feel connected, loved, supported, and celebrated, in a place where we can ask for honest feedback.

It's everyone's responsibility to say, "Hey I don't know enough about this particular situation, perhaps its time to get curious or find someone with better resources."

I cannot tell you the amount of "Women's support groups" I've left because the people involved wanted to chew up and spit out men constantly. We will not do that here, against any group of people.

Where is the community located?

The community is for those who have gone through or are going through the Mind Over Matter Progression. It can be found within the login for MOM.

What comes with the community?

1 month of the community comes with Mind Over Matter.

The community is a safe space to explore the ideas in Mind Over Matter, as well as the first place for discounts, new information, and Bimonthly news letters and discussions based on common themes.
